How to create a wholesale line sheet for your candles (with the exact fields buyers expect)
October 7, 2026 · 5 min read

The short answer: a line sheet is a one- or two-page wholesale catalog for your candles — product photos, scent names, sizes, wholesale prices, suggested retail prices, case packs, and order minimums. Buyers expect one before they'll even consider a sample, and a clean line sheet makes a two-person studio look like a twenty-person company.
What goes on it, field by field: your company name, logo, and contact details at the top. Then one row or card per product — a photo, the scent and vessel size, your wholesale price, the suggested retail price (MSRP), the case pack (how many units per case, usually 4 or 6), and the SKU if you use them. At the bottom: your opening order minimum, reorder minimum, lead time, and payment terms.
Pricing on the sheet: wholesale is typically around 50% of your retail price, which only works if your retail price is at least 2x to 2.5x your true cost per candle. If you haven't nailed that number yet, work through how to calculate your true cost per candle before you print anything — a line sheet with wrong prices is a contract you'll regret.
How many products to include: fewer than you think. Six to twelve strong sellers is easier for a buyer to say yes to than your entire catalog. You can always add scents later; a focused first order is what turns into a reorder.
Terms to decide before anyone asks: opening order minimum (many makers use $150–$300), reorder minimum, case pack size, lead time (be honest — two to three weeks is normal for small studios), and payment terms (card on file or net 30 for established accounts). Put them on the sheet so every shop gets the same deal.
Design matters less than clarity. A buyer skims a line sheet in about thirty seconds, so prices and minimums should be findable without reading. Good product photos do more selling than adjectives.
In WaxLogic, line sheets build themselves from the products you've marked as offered wholesale, at their wholesale prices, with your logo and business details already on them — and you can share one as a link or print it to PDF. It's part of the same $14.99/month plan as everything else, free for 7 days.
